Hi! My name is,
Hi! My name is,
Hey! My name is Dorothé Kanku and I'm a
self-taught Front End Developer currently based in
Ottawa, Ontario.
I started out building websites using web builders like Squarespace
for many years. Since then, I've gained a desire to always find out
how websites are really built from behind the scenes: through coding,
& have loved it ever since! I've gained many more years of experience
enhancing my skills through self-learning in multiple courses,
bootcamps, hands-on projects, and collaborating with amazing teams of
diverse backgrounds. Additionally, I recently embarked in the
Software Engineering program at
BrainStation.
I'm passionate about building & designing eye gazing web applications
that live on the internet, aswell as problem-solving, using logical
thinking to create visually appealing websites that provide a seamless
experience for every user.
I believe with consistency,
perseverance, and willingness, anything can be accomplished!
This weather app allows users to enter a city name and receive real-time weather data, including temperature and conditions. It uses the OpenWeatherMap API to fetch up-to-date information and displays it in a clean, user-friendly interface. The app is designed with full responsiveness in mind, adapting seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.

This project is a modern, responsive redesign of an existing spa website's "About Us" page at: www.spabelles.com/about-us, and created to improve user experience and visual appeal. It is more for the visuals, focused on enhancing the website's aesthetics and layout, with JavaScript functionality limited to a hover arrow where when clicked it brings you directly down to the about us section below, & a search bar for easier navigation. The redesign emphasizes a calming user interface, ease of navigation, and accessibility improvements, all intended to create a relaxing and welcoming online presence.
